What are lip fillers?

What happens when you have face and lip fillers?

Consultations are available to discuss your needs and what you want to achieve. Often, an anaesthetic cream is applied to numb the skin and lip area, although it may be slightly uncomfortable the treatment should not be painful. The length of time the treatment takes is dependent on the type of treatment, for lip fillers you can usually expect the process to take around 30 minutes.
What to do after Lip Fillers
The affected area may be a bit red, sore and swollen. Any swelling or bruising should settle down in a few days. During the consultation and again during the treatment, you will be given instructions on how to minimise the chance of side effects. This includes refraining from applying make-up right after the treatment.
What are the Risks of Lip fillers?
The risks of dermal fillers depend on whether the procedure was done correctly and the type of filler used. Speak to your practitioner about the risks. Dr Hennessy will only use the safest and most effective filler, and has over 20 years experience so that overfilled and lumpy lips just don’t happen. Serious problems and allergic reactions are rare and during our 20 years we have not yet seen any occur.
