Botox Preston FAQs

What is Botulinum Toxin Type A?

Botulinum toxin type A is the actual name given to the treatment commonly known as Botox.

Botulinum, also known as botox, is a natural protein which acts upon nerve endings to reduce the action of these nerves and the muscles which they supply. When used cosmetically it reduces the strength of the muscles of the face that cause the tell-tale lines that come with age. Botox injections can be used on a variety of areas of the face, therefore results can be tailored to suit the individual’s wants and needs.

Is Botox Preston safe?

Botox and Azzalure have been used for many years very safely in various medical conditions for over 40 years.. Side effects are very rare and we have never seen any adverse reactions in all our years of experience completing this procedure. We can discuss any concerns you might have regarding contraindications during our consultation.

How long does it last?

The effects of all anti-wrinkle injections are temporary and last from 3-4 months. As muscle action gradually returns, the lines and wrinkles begin to reappear and wrinkles need to be re-treated. The lines and wrinkles often appear less severe with time because the muscles are being trained to relax.
