Lip Enhancement

Effective, confidence-building, safe, and natural lip enhancement

Lip augmentation is one of the most popular non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatments and has exploded in demand in the last decade. Lip enhancement can help make a patient’s face look younger and restore lip shape using a safe and natural method, giving them a more balanced and symmetrical appearance.

What is lip enhancement?

Lip enhancement involves injections that can be used to add volume to your lips as well as altering or correcting the shape. Dr Hennessy can add volume to both the upper and lower lips, giving them a fuller appearance, but in some circumstances, only one lip may require filler. A patient’s lip shape may need to be rectified through a lip correction procedure in specific instances, for example if filler has been completed by a different clinic and the patient is not happy with the result.

What is the Lip enhancement procedure?

At Dr Hennessy’s clinics, we recognise that your biggest concerns include what to expect, how the treatment will turn out, and that it will be performed by a skilled and experienced practitioner. For peace of mind, consultations can be provided beforehand to discuss your requirements and objectives.

Dr Hennessy Clinics use Restylane Kysse, the first lip filler designed with XpresHAn Technology which contains a numbing agent within the product. This saves time as there is no need to apply a numbing agent before the treatment, you can simply have your lips filled and are good to go. You can see the results immediately after the procedure and carry on as normal right after with the process which takes no longer than 30 minutes.

As Dr Hennessy BDS is a cosmetic dentist, he can administer an additional dental block which can offer the patient complete numbness for up to 40 minutes if preferred.

What Is the Aftercare for lip enhancement?

It’s possible that the lip area will be a little red, painful, and swollen after the procedure, however, swelling and bruising should go away within a few days. During the consultation and again during the treatment, you will be given instructions on how to minimise the chance of side effects. This includes refraining from applying make-up right after the treatment.

What Are The Risks of lip filler?

Dermal filler hazards are determined by whether the treatment was performed successfully and the type of filler utilised. Talk to your doctor about the dangers. Dr Hennessy only uses the safest, highest quality filler and has over 20 years of experience to ensure that your lips are not overfilled or lumpy. Serious issues and allergic responses are uncommon, and we haven’t seen any in our 20 years of experience.

If this is your first visit to Dr Hennessy clinics, one of his nurses will call you two weeks after treatment. However, as discussed during the appointment, if you ever experience anything you are concerned about, we give you a number to call immediately.
